- Security Assistant/Executive: The pay scale for this position is Level 5 in the pay matrix (Rs. 29200 – 92300) as per 7th CPC.
- Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): The pay scale for this position is Level 1 in the pay matrix (Rs. 18000 – 56900) as per 7th CPC.
Selection Process for Intelligence Bureau Recruitment 2023
The selection process for the Intelligence Bureau Recruitment for the posts of Security Assistant/Executive and Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) involves the following stages:
- Tier 1 Examination: This is a written examination which will consist of objective type questions from various subjects such as General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Analytical Ability. Candidates will have to secure a minimum cut-off marks to qualify for the next stage of the selection process.
- Tier 2 Examination: This is a descriptive type examination which will consist of questions from English Language, Essay Writing, Translation of a passage from a regional language to English and Precis Writing. Candidates will have to secure a minimum cut-off marks to qualify for the next stage of the selection process.
- Tier 3 Examination: This is a skill test which will consist of typing test for the post of Security Assistant/Executive and basic computer knowledge test for the post of Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS).

- Final Selection: Based on the performance in all the above-mentioned tiers, the final selection of candidates will be made.
