Age Limit
Ages 18 to 23 as of January 1, 2023. In the usual run of events, candidates should not have been born sooner than 02-01-2000 or later than 01-01-2005. However, the candidate’s birthdate should not have been earlier than January 1, 1997, even with the maximum age limit being relaxed by three (03) years.
The age reduction will be granted in accordance with government regulations.
Qualification
On October 27, 2023, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) published the notification for the hiring of 24369 constables into the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs). Candidates with a 10th-grade diploma or equivalent may apply online at www.ssc.nic.in for the SSC GD Constable Vacancy 2023.
SSC GD Constable Selection Process 2023
The online (CBT) written test is a component of the SSC GD Constable Vacancy 2023 selection process. Candidates who pass the written test will be invited to take the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (PMT). The different CAPF training facilities throughout the nation will host the PET and PMT for the SSC GD Constable. Following that, a medical examination and document verification will take place. Following final selection, the applicants will be assigned to the appropriate force (e.g., BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, etc.), based on the decision they made and the number of open seats.

SSC GD Constable 2023 Exam Pattern
Objective-type questions from General English/Hindi, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Mathematics, and General Knowledge are part of the SSC GD Constable Recruitment written test. Each subject’s test will consist of 20 questions, each worth 40 marks, for a total of 160 marks. The difficulty level of the exam will be Matric/10th Grade. Additionally, incorrect responses will receive a 1/4th negative marking. The exam will take 60 minutes to complete.

SSC GD 2023 Physical Measurement Test (PMT)
The applicants will be contacted for the Physical Endurance and Measurement Test (PET/ PST) ten times the number of openings. The ex-servicemen who will be chosen for further consideration in the computer-based examination must show up for the PET/PST stage just in order to have their height, chest, and weight measured. PET won’t be held for applicants who are ex-service members.

SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
The Commission will shortlist applicants for Physical (PET/PMT) testing based on their performance in the computer-based test. Physical Standard Tests (PST) and Physical Efficiency Tests (PET) will be administered at various locations decided upon by the CAPFs. At the time of DME, candidates’ eligibility and supporting documentation will be thoroughly examined.
Therefore, before taking the CBE, PST, or PET, it will be the applicants’ obligation to confirm their eligibility as specified in this notification. Candidates who are determined to be eligible during PET/PST will first undergo PET (race), which will be followed by biometric/technology-aided identification. After passing the qualifying PET (race), the applicants’ eligibility for any relaxations in terms of age, height, and chest measurement will be carefully examined by the CAPFs PET/ PST Boards before the PST.
